This Hampton Roads-based organization was conceptually organized late 2003 by its founder and President, Robin Gricol. Their preview event was hosted by The Lounge at the Holiday Inn Olde Towne Portsmouth December 2003.

Extraordinary Encounters Dating's concept is to copy the metropolitan trend of "speed dating". The facilitators have a mission: relaxed first impressions and fun! They collect the match/no match form and responsibly give contact information to both parties, but only if that spark is there on both sides.

On February 2005 EED teamed up with HRDating, which was founded by Ash Gilpin. Ash is also responsible for our website and all its great updates! OH and by the way; Ash is also single! I am working on a photo for the website.

On January 2007 EED brought aboard our partner Fred Ingels/Marketing and Promotions and life-long resident of Hampton Roads . His company Ta-Dah! Video Production created Extraordinary Encounter 's first TV commercial.
